Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license for Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students (caseload may vary based on service needs and school assignments)
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with various communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and social success
- Deliver direct and consultative services in accordance with IDEA/IEP goals and school district policies
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and staff professional development as needed
