Schedule options provide flexibility to align with your work-life balance, with typical hours running from either 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, depending on your specific school placement. You’ll monitor and provide tailored speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 60 students—actual numbers vary based on each student's service minutes and the particular setting.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for the state of Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain by start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of IEP process and documentation standards
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions and push-in/pull-out services aligned with each student’s IEP
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate progress records and contribute to IEP meetings and goal-setting
- Provide in-service training and resources to staff as needed
- Adhere to ethical, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based speech services
