Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current CA SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to adapt to varying school environments and caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to help integrate therapy goals
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation of student progress and required reports
- Engage in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development activities
- Travel between assigned school sites within the area as needed
