Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid SLP license and appropriate California state credentials
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker, with demonstrated bilingual therapy skills
- Previous experience providing speech/language services in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP process and effective documentation practices
- Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and adapt to changes in school routines
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in both English and Spanish
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans customized to students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive educational environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations to support student progress
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in accordance with school guidelines
- Provide resources and strategies for staff and parents to foster communication development
- Adapt therapy interventions to virtual or in-person settings as needed
