School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Sherwood, Arkansas

Step into a rewarding role working with young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive daycare center setting. This contract opportunity runs from now through late May 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. You’ll be empowering approximately 36-40 students, making a daily impact by helping them develop essential communication skills. This onsite position is based near Sherwood, AR, with potential flexibility for one remote workday if needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Active SLP license; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also welcome to apply
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Passion for working with children in early childhood environments
- Strong collaborative and communication skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized approach to managing caseloads, documentation, and progress tracking
Daily responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintaining thorough documentation and timely reporting
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expert input to team discussions
- Staying current on best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
