Join a dedicated school-based team as a contract Speech Language Therapist working onsite with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Located near Independence, OR, this full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact across multiple age groups within a supportive educational environment. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to support communication skills and student success.
Qualifications & Background:
- Hold an active and valid Oregon Professional SLP license
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students
- Ability to deliver individualized and group therapy onsite
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Passionate about advocating for student needs within school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse caseload
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students onsite, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to customize interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to eligibility determination, and maintain accurate records per district and state guidelines
- Utilize evidence-based practices and adapt strategies to meet each student's unique needs
- Provide resources and support to staff and families as needed
