Help support students’ communication and academic success as a dedicated school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity offers flexibility and impact, whether you’re drawn to working in one school or prefer traveling to serve multiple communities. Tailor your assignment to your preference—choose from either a full-time, four-day week (8.75 hours per day) or a five-day schedule (8 hours per day) serving kindergarten through high school. Enjoy collaborating with students and educators across a diverse region, including Mason, Grays Harbor, Pacific, and Thurston counties, plus the greater Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Shelton, Raymond, and McCleary areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state SLP licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience with K-12 student populations, spanning varied needs and abilities
  • Ability to organize caseloads, manage IEPs, and provide dynamic, individualized therapy
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to school locations (no virtual roles; SLP only, no SLPAs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines
  • Provide direct and consultative services in both group and individual settings
  • Track student progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and professional development
  • Travel to multiple school locations as assigned
