Shape a rewarding experience supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This onsite opportunity centers on conducting speech-language evaluations and working closely with a team-oriented SLP staff. You’ll have the chance to make a visible difference for approximately 50–70 students, many of whom are supported in life skills or nonverbal programs.
Desired qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience in educational or school-based settings is preferred
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of strategies for working with nonverbal and life skills student populations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Daily responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations to assess student needs and eligibility
- Prepare detailed, compliant evaluation reports and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Consult and collaborate with another SLP, especially in supporting nonverbal life skills students
- Maintain thorough records and ensure compliance with special education requirements
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individual student goals
