Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of speech, language, and communication abilities
- Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Delivering both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Collaborating regularly with teachers, parents, special education teams, and school administrators
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of student goals
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain) through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- Kansas Department of Education certification/licensure as needed for school-based SLP practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may be considered based on district needs
- Previous experience in schools is valued, but open to strong new graduates
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
