Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based contract role near Overland Park, KS. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations for students.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Providing both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services within the school environment.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, special education professionals, and school administrators.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, progress reports, and records in compliance with state and district requirements.
- Actively participating in IEP meetings and contributing valuable insight to student goal development.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certification or licensure from the Kansas Department of Education as required for school-based services.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may be considered.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is valued but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
