This position focuses on a small caseload and offers a flexible one-day-per-week schedule—Fridays only. The assignment begins with an in-service day on July 20, with students returning on July 30, and extends through May 21, 2027.
You’ll provide direct therapy to a group of 10 students, each seen weekly for 30 minutes, with possibilities for group or paired sessions. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys personalized, quality service and collaborating within a school-based team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC required)
- Experience in school-based settings and pediatric populations
- Proven ability to write IEPs and develop measurable progress goals
- Competence in facilitating both SLI-specific and general IEP meetings
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfort with evaluating and recommending students for speech services
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech therapy to assigned students each Friday (approximately 8am–12pm for direct service, plus additional time for meetings, documentation, and consultation)
- Evaluate students and determine eligibility for speech services
- Write IEPs, monitor progress, and update goals as needed
- Participate actively in regular and SLI-specific IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student development
- Maintain thorough notes and documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
