Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) in New Mexico for SLP practice in schools
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred, though strong Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates will be considered
- Experience in educational settings working with diverse student populations is highly desired
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students, ages may range from early childhood to high school
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both one-on-one and small group, addressing speech, language, and social communication goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to monitor progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records and submit required reports in accordance with district and regulatory policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the academic and emotional success of students
