Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (if clinical fellowship completed; otherwise, district offers supervision for strong CFYs)
  • Strong clinical foundation—bilingual or monolingual candidates welcome
  • At least one reference, and successful completion of background and eligibility interviews
  • Experience with K-12 caseloads or private/parochial school settings preferred, especially in managing intake evaluations and proportionate share arrangements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges across K-12
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, parents, and support staff, supporting IEP development and monitoring progress
  • Supervise and guide a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) as needed
  • Keep thorough records and manage a caseload of approximately 80-100 students
  • Adapt communication supports and therapy for students from diverse backgrounds; bilingual skills beneficial but not required
