You’ll play a pivotal role by supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 45-50 students, providing essential speech and language services while covering an FMLA leave. Qualifications & Experience:
- Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric or school settings, preferably at the high school level
- Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to high school students, both individually and in groups
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for a diverse range of communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students’ needs are met
- Monitor progress and maintain clear, accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Support FMLA coverage by maintaining continuity of care throughout the semester
