You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students develop essential communication skills, with resources and support from an established network. This role is full-time and spans the academic year, with opportunities to support multiple schools within a supportive charter network.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP-CCC credential
- Eligible for Illinois licensure
- Experience in a school-based SLP setting
- Skilled at working with PreK–8th grade students
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred, enhancing service delivery, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services according to IEP requirements
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic support for each student
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Adapt therapeutic activities to reflect students’ linguistic, cultural, and learning needs
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed
