Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services, integrating evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and necessary documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student programming
