Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Santa Rosa, California
Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school community near Santa Rosa, CA! This contract role runs for the full 2026/27 school year (August through June), offering hands-on experience with diverse student populations across multiple school sites.
You’ll play a vital role in fostering communication skills, tailoring interventions to a range of needs in both elementary and middle school settings. One position serves a middle school campus, working with students across three distinct Special Day Classes—including mild/moderate and extensive support needs—plus those in resource (RSP) and general education. The second position covers two elementary campuses, combining work with general education and extensive support needs students from transitional kindergarten to grade five. This collaborative, full-time position is onsite, 35 hours per week, providing a dynamic atmosphere for dedicated professionals excited to make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license required
- PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential mandatory
- Experience with pediatric populations, school-based caseloads, or CFY welcome
- Skills in working with both general education and special needs students
- Ability to adapt strategies for various learning environments
- SLPA background in healthcare or schools is valued
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement therapy plans for diverse student needs
- Conduct assessments and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
