Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA

Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Compassion and creativity in supporting diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings to identify student needs
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized therapy plans to support each child’s goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design holistic interventions
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide both direct and consultative services, adapting therapy for the school environment
- Educate staff and families about strategies to support students’ speech and language progress
