Pre K Middle School School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | North Hollywood, California
Embark on an impactful opportunity supporting students from TK through 6th grade across two welcoming school communities. This full-time contract position invites a certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologist to play a vital role in both elementary and middle school settings, helping learners with diverse speech and language needs—from mild articulation challenges to mild-moderate disabilities with language deficits and some AAC needs.
Enjoy a varied weekly schedule, spending two days at one site and three days at another. The staff workday is 7:45 am to 3:15 pm at the first location and 8:15 am to 3:45 pm at the second, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Immediate start is available, with options to finish out the current academic year, extend through the summer ESY program, or continue into the next school year for those seeking ongoing placement.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current Speech Language Pathologist certification and state license
- Experience supporting students at the elementary and middle school levels (Pre K – 6th grade)
- Familiarity with mild articulation issues, language deficits, and AAC
- Comfort managing a school-based caseload with varied student needs
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting screenings, assessments, and individualized therapy sessions
- Developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Keeping accurate records and contributing to IEPs
- Supporting students across various learning levels and needs
