Pre K Elementary Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Santa Clarita, CA

Make an impact working with elementary and middle school students in a dynamic, supportive environment. This contract position serves Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade across two engaging school sites, both close to Santa Clarita, CA. You’ll work with a diverse caseload including students with mild articulation needs, language deficits, and some who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support.
You’ll have the flexibility to work full-time during the current and upcoming school years, as well as through the Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) cycles. The assignment begins as soon as possible; candidates who prefer may conclude at the end of the 25/26 school year in June, or extend into the summer ESY session and beyond.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist certification and state licensure
- Experience supporting elementary and middle school students (Pre K–6th grade)
- Proficiency working with mild articulation and mild-moderate language disabilities
- Familiarity or experience with AAC devices is highly valued
- Capacity to adjust communication strategies for varied student needs
- Collaborative spirit with teachers, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language intervention to students (TK–6th grade) at both school sites: two days at one location (7:45am–3:15pm) and three days at the other (8:15am–3:45pm)
- Assess students, develop individualized education program (IEP) goals, and document progress
- Support students with articulation disorders and language delays, including those needing AAC
- Partner with educators and families to foster student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, planning, and related professional development
