Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students of all ages as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist near Anchorage, AK. In this role, you'll join a highly regarded and collaborative team with a stellar reputation among past staff, making a positive difference in the lives of local students with mild to moderate needs.
Your assignment will cover a caseload averaging 50 students per SLP, with some variation depending on school level—elementary settings with special services may have a slightly reduced caseload, while high school assignments tend to be higher due to an increased consultative component. You'll work across all age groups, with a focus on both direct therapy and consultative support, ensuring every child receives the communication resources they need to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Active Alaska SLP license
- Alaska DEED (teaching) certification
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability to support diverse caseloads and student needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
- Track and report progress for students on caseload
- Support IEP meetings as needed
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment
