Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure (or eligibility) for practice in Alaska
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred, but strong CFY candidates will be considered
- Recent experience providing speech/language therapy in pediatric or school-age populations
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance standards
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and collaborating with educational staff and parents
- Track student progress through data collection and maintain accurate records
- Educate and consult with teachers, aides, and families to reinforce therapy goals in classroom and home environments
