Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid licensure to practice as an SLP in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for K-12 students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to organize a diverse caseload and maintain compliance with deadlines
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech, language, and communication screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Delivering evidence-based therapy sessions both individually and in small groups
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other support staff to maximize student success
- Maintaining thorough and timely records in accordance with district or state requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
