Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and team collaboration
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document student progress, maintain records, and complete required reporting in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Offer prevention, intervention, and consultative services within the school community
- Educate staff and families about speech and language disorders, offering strategies to support student success
