Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current California SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in a school-based setting, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans for K-6th grade students
- Provide direct speech and language therapy in group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Document student progress and maintain thorough, timely records in accordance with school policies
- Educate staff and parents about strategies to support students’ communication needs
This is a rewarding full-time contract position with hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and a competitive pay rate starting at $55 per hour.
