Desired Background and Credentials:
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience in school settings or a strong interest in school-based therapy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other support personnel
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive assessments and deliver speech and language therapy to diverse K-12th grade learners
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress toward speech and language goals
- Work closely with classroom teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies into academic settings
- Provide consultation and support to families regarding student progress and strategies for home carryover
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
