Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFs are welcome
- Recent experience delivering speech and language services in a school-based setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Deliver direct therapy individually and in group settings within the school environment
- Monitor and document student progress; maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate school staff and parents on effective strategies to support students’ speech and language development
- Stay current with best practices and maintain compliance with relevant state and federal regulations
