Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience within school settings is beneficial, though strong clinical backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Deliver individual and small-group intervention sessions tailored to student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate communication strategies in the classroom
- Document progress and maintain clear, confidential records as required by school/district and state guidelines
- Serve as an advocate for students’ needs, participating in IEP meetings and supporting ongoing educational goals
