School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Saint Peters, Missouri
Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting elementary students on-site in a dynamic school environment. In this contract role, you’ll be primarily assigned to one elementary campus, with the possibility of assisting at a second location. You’ll deliver individualized speech-language therapy, working closely with a diverse caseload that includes non-verbal students utilizing AAC devices for communication.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required
- Experience working in school settings preferred, especially with elementary-age students
- Knowledge/background supporting non-verbal students and familiarity with AAC devices
- Flexibility and adaptability to support changing campus needs
- Commitment to all necessary district credentialing, including fingerprinting and completion of required forms
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech and language intervention for assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and family members to support individualized education plans
- Manage diverse caseload with a focus on delivering approximately 3400 service minutes
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and strategies according to district policy
- Provide guidance and support for students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Participate in meetings and contribute to team planning as needed
This opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, running through the academic year with a start as soon as possible and an end date in late May 2027. You’ll work in a supportive district that values flexibility and the evolving needs of its students.
