School Speech Language Pathologist - Saint Paul, MN
Step into a rewarding speech-language pathologist contract opportunity in the greater Saint Paul, MN area for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This full-time assignment offers 37.5 hours per week within a supportive school community. Initially, you’ll serve Justice Alan Page Elementary, helping ensure continuity of care during a key maternity leave. Following Thanksgiving break, your expertise will be put to use across other school buildings, either filling in where additional leaves arise or providing vital compensatory services for students who missed necessary support earlier in the year.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, student-centered educational team, enhancing the communication and academic success of students across various grade levels and settings. Utilizing your SLP expertise, you’ll build rapport with students, families, and staff, helping every child reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holds a valid MN School Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is highly valued.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Adept at managing caseloads, IEP development, and adapting to shifting assignments/facilities as needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language needs.
- Support students both individually and in small groups.
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families.
- Document progress and comply with all school district and state reporting requirements.
- Adjust to assignments and locations based on district need throughout the year.
