School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Round Mountain, California
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication needs during the 26/27 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Contribute your expertise in a collaborative, dynamic contract position, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 15-20 Pre-K through 12th grade students. Flexible scheduling options are available within school hours (8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.), making this position ideal for professionals seeking work-life balance. Elementary school caseloads and hours may differ slightly.
Ideal candidates bring experience supporting school-age children, a passion for student growth, and a desire to work in an inclusive educational environment. For SLPA applicants, strong support and supervision from licensed SLPs encourage ongoing learning and professional development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- SLPA candidates must be able to work effectively under SLP supervision
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions to assigned students
- Evaluate and monitor progress, updating goals and plans as needed
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary staff for holistic student support
- Complete timely progress reports and contribute to IEP meetings
- For SLPAs: Provide services primarily to elementary students under SLP guidance
