Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Rohnert Park, CA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in K-8th grade as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA). Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related program required for SLPs; Associate’s or Bachelor’s for SLPAs
- Active California licensure (SLP-CCC or current SLPA certification)
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans
- Commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment for diverse learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech, language, and communication therapy to students on your caseload
- Screen, assess, and diagnose communication disorders among K-8th graders, with an emphasis on elementary levels
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports for each student
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other staff to share strategies and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Incorporate engaging, evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to individual student needs
