Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Rohnert Park, California
Step into a rewarding role working with students across a vibrant school community near Rohnert Park, CA. This is an onsite, full-time contract opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) eager to make a positive impact during the 2026/2027 school year.
You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student communication skills in settings ranging from elementary to middle school. Two SLP positions are available: one focused on middle school students across specialized day classes (SDCs, including mild/moderate and extensive support needs) as well as general education and resource specialist program (RSP) students; the other supporting students at two elementary sites—one with both general education and extensive support needs (grades TK-5), and another primarily serving those in general education placement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California SLP license required
- PPS Credential is necessary
- Experience with school-based or pediatric speech therapy (SLPs or Clinical Fellows)
- Comfort working with diverse student populations, including those in SDCs, RSP, and general education
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- SLPA experience in school or healthcare settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language services
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress
- Develop and implement IEP goals
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Offer support and mentorship to Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLPAs, as appropriate
