Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Rochelle, Illinois
An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with a passion for supporting students in a dynamic school setting. This contract position focuses on Extended School Year (ESY) services for both elementary and high school students, taking place at multiple sites in a collaborative educational environment. The assignment runs from June 1st through June 30th, with staff planning on May 29th (8:00–11:00 am) and work hours from 7:45 am to 12:00 pm each day, offering 4.25 paid hours daily.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited graduate program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Bilingual skills to serve diverse student populations
- Experience with school-based or pediatric SLP preferred
- Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
What You'll Do:
- Deliver bilingual ESY SLP services for elementary and high school students
- Travel between up to three different educational sites as needed
- Evaluate and document student progress while maintaining clear communication with staff and families
- Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support personnel to promote student engagement and growth
- Utilize AAC devices and evidence-based techniques to maximize student participation and communication
