Qualifications:
- Hold a valid CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) or be eligible for/actively completing CFY-SLP (Clinical Fellowship Year)
- Strong understanding of school-based speech-language therapy practices
- Experience or interest in working with elementary-aged students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload with varying needs, primarily mild to moderate
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based intervention for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting each student’s goals
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, as well as parents, to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in the IEP process, including writing reports and attending meetings
- Deliver engaging, student-centered therapy, adapting as needed for individual needs and learning styles
- Offer consultation and support for teachers regarding speech and language strategies within the classroom
- Monitor and track student progress to ensure optimal growth and goal achievement
