K-5 Grades 6 - 8 School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Dobbs Ferry, New York

Your expertise will make a meaningful difference as you provide required speech and language services to a diverse student body, including those who may be resistant to therapy. The opportunity is open to qualified professionals interested in either in-person, teletherapy, or possibly a hybrid schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active NY state Speech-Language Pathologist certification and license (required)
- Documented experience working effectively with resistant youth and adolescents
- Previous experience delivering speech-language services in a school setting, including writing and implementing IEPs
- Knowledgeable in supporting students with a variety of communication needs across grades K-12
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort with digital platforms for teletherapy, if applicable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consult-based IEP-mandated speech-language therapy
- Assess, develop, and document individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Track student performance and maintain accurate records following all compliance guidelines
- Adjust activities and strategies to engage students who may exhibit resistance
