K-5 Grades 9 - 12 School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hawthorne, New York

Multiple contract opportunities are available for passionate and certified Speech-Language Pathologists, offering a blend of flexible options to suit your career goals and lifestyle. Positions include: one full-time opening, a part-time role with flexible scheduling (2-3 days per week, adjusted based on your availability and caseload), and temporary maternity leave coverage from July through October.
You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse student population, including those on the autism spectrum, aged 5 to 21. Caseloads average approximately 50 sessions, with daily schedules running from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, featuring 10 sessions a day across both individual and group formats. A daily, half-hour unpaid lunch break is provided.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with student populations in grades K–12 (K–5, 6–8, and 9–12)
- Prior work with students with autism preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices such as TouchChat, LAMP, and Proloquo is a plus
- Comfort managing high-volume caseloads and dynamic session schedules
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and provide daily individual and group speech therapy sessions
- Complete daily treatment notes to document student progress
- Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports, including IEP draft completion
- Conduct monthly self-audits of notes and attendance (CM2)
