Grades 9 - 12 Grades 6 - 8 School Speech Language Pathologist - Bronx, New York
Providing speech-language therapy services for a diverse student population with autism, ages 5-21, this contract position offers multiple opportunities for certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) across grade levels K-12. Located in the Bronx, NY, the roles are designed to accommodate various schedule preferences with full-time, part-time, and maternity leave coverage options available.
Positions: • Full-Time: 30 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM, including a half-hour unpaid lunch break • Part-Time: 2-3 days per week, flexible scheduling based on availability and caseload • Maternity Leave Coverage: Approximately July through October, full or part-time options
Responsibilities include: • Providing daily speech-language therapy in individual and group settings • Documenting treatment notes and maintaining accurate records • Completing quarterly and annual progress reports along with IEP draft preparation • Conducting monthly self-audits of notes and attendance records (CM2) • Managing caseloads of approximately 50 sessions (about 10 sessions daily)
Preferred qualifications and experience: • Certification as an SLP with licensure valid for school settings • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices such as TouchChat, LAMP, or Proloquo
