A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Redding, CA, serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. This on-site, contract role offers the opportunity to support a diverse caseload within a school setting, providing essential speech and language services to enhance student communication and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, screenings, and evaluations for students in grades K-8
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Stay current with best practices and professional development in the field of speech-language pathology
Required Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-8 grade range
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work collaboratively within an educational team
- Familiarity with district policies and educational frameworks
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Redding, California
- Full-time hours during the academic year, with contract dates starting ASAP through Extended School Year (ESY)
- On-site work only
