Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting communication and academic success for high school students across three campuses. This contract role offers the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of students with diverse needs, from those with mild articulation challenges to individuals on the autism spectrum and students in adaptive cluster programs. The majority of your caseload will be at Mountain View High School, serving approximately 50 students, with additional students from neighboring sites, creating a total caseload of around 60-70.
This full-time, full-school-year, itinerant position is open to both fully credentialed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) and strong Clinical Fellows. Candidates with a background in school settings and experience collaborating with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active standard SLP certification
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
- CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows considered
- Experience working with a wide range of disabilities, including articulation disorders, ASD, and adaptive needs, is a plus
- Familiarity with high school caseloads and multi-site responsibilities is helpful
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with special education teams, parents, and related service providers
- Supervise and support SLPAs as appropriate
- Adapt interventions to student needs across settings
