Qualifications and Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or pending Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings highly valued
- State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication abilities
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child’s goals
- Provide direct therapy services through engaging, evidence-based interventions
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student success across learning environments
- Offer guidance, support, and resources to educators and family members
