Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Active SLP license
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings is strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Ability to assess, create, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Dedication to professional growth and ongoing learning in the field of speech-language pathology
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs, from mild articulation issues to complex communication challenges
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required reports in a timely manner
- Offer guidance and support to teachers, staff, and families on effective strategies to facilitate communication development in the classroom and at home
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
