Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Rhode Island.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
  • Demonstrated experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations.
  • Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-12 students across a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Complete assessments, develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on goals and progress for each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support generalization of therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal standards.
  • Stay current with best practices and continue professional development in the field of speech-language pathology.
