Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current state licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in school-based settings, particularly working with diverse student populations
  • Strong collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload, document progress, and tailor intervention strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred through the special education process
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services to support students’ integration within classroom environments
  • Document ongoing progress, maintain accurate case files, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions to optimize student outcomes
  • Educate and provide resources to families and staff to foster students’ communication development
  • Stay updated with best practices in speech therapy and incorporate evidence-based methods
