Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Valid licensure as an SLP in New York State (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations strongly desired
- Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs
- Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and document student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development sessions
- Offer recommendations for classroom modifications to support communication needs
