Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs for the 2026-2027 academic year in a collaborative school environment. We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized instruction and therapeutic support across multiple educational settings from August 2026 to June 2027. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a diverse caseload and the chance to contribute to several unique programs.
You will work across a general education setting (Nettle Creek), a therapeutic academy (River's Edge), an autism-focused program (Saratoga Autism), and a transition center, each providing vital services to student populations with a range of needs. Caseloads include both direct and consultative models, offering professional variety and continued growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Eligibility for Illinois state licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort adapting to varied educational and behavioral needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students ages PreK–Transition
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy in classroom and small group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to ensure seamless service delivery
- Document progress and attend IEP meetings as needed
- Adjust interventions based on student performance and feedback from interdisciplinary teams
