Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a K–8 school setting in Phoenix, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers a consistent school-day schedule of approximately 8:15 AM–3:15 PM, with some additional time as needed for meetings, student documentation, and other school responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K–8 students based on individual needs and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and participate in evaluations as appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Complete documentation and other responsibilities necessary for school-based Medicaid billing
- Electronically sign IEPs as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMP) for Medicaid billing purposes

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively with students across K–8 grade levels
- Familiarity with electronic documentation and school-based Medicaid billing processes is a plus
Qualifications
- Arizona SLP License
- Arizona Department of Education (DOE) Certification
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Candidate must provide their IVP number
- NPI number registered with AHCCCS
- Must be eligible to serve as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMP) for electronic IEP signatures required for Medicaid billing
Experience
- School-based experience is preferred
- Experience with IEPs and Medicaid billing is preferred but not required
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Work Hours & Industry
Hours: 8:15 AM–3:15 PM, Monday–Friday, with additional time as needed for meetings and documentation
