Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Phelan, CA

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2024-2025 school year at a school campus located in Lancaster, CA. This is an in-person contract position focused on providing specialized speech therapy services within an educational setting. The role requires a candidate comfortable working with students with Autism and collaborating closely with the support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech therapy services to students with diverse needs, particularly those with Autism.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work alongside support staff, including Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), if applicable.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure; CCC-SLP certification preferred.
- Experience working in school-based settings.
- Comfort and experience supporting students with Autism spectrum disorders.
- Familiarity with pediatric speech-language development and therapy techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of the school environment.
- Previous experience or interest in teletherapy is a plus but this role is in-person only.
