Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Pflugerville, TX
Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This onsite role runs from November through March or April to provide maternity leave coverage, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week. You’ll collaborate across school sites and work closely with a dynamic team to deliver quality pediatric speech services.
Your expertise will be key in completing evaluations, managing IEPs, and providing individualized and group therapy for school-aged children. Some positions may focus exclusively on evaluations, while others will include a full SLP caseload. The exact number of schools assigned will be determined upon placement, and travel between schools may be required. School-based experience is necessary to ensure seamless support for students and staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLP license and current certification (SLP-CCC)
- Demonstrated experience in school settings
- Proficient in pediatric and school-based SLP responsibilities
- Knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and therapy implementation
- Ability to work onsite full time and travel between school campuses if required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and reevaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy, both individual and small group, tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and district regulations
