Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Peoria, Arizona
Step into a rewarding role supporting the speech and language needs of students in a vibrant school community! Full-time, on-site speech-language pathologists are needed for a contract assignment running through May 2027. This opportunity involves directly supporting two campuses alongside SLP assistants, ensuring comprehensive services for diverse caseloads. You will provide therapy and evaluation services to students in both elementary and middle school settings, with support available for Clinical Fellows (CFY). Arizona SLP licensure and a valid fingerprint clearance card are required.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Arizona SLP license and fingerprint clearance card
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility (CFY welcomed; supervision provided)
- Experience working with pediatric populations or in school-based settings
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to support multiple sites and collaborate with SLPAs on each campus
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services for assigned caseloads at two schools
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Work in partnership with educators, support staff, and families to address students’ speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy and consultation, utilizing evidence-based techniques
- Supervise and collaborate with SLPAs at each location
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
This contract role begins as soon as possible, and interviews will be scheduled promptly in either panel or one-on-one formats depending on availability. Candidates must complete regular Arizona credentialing requirements, including fingerprint clearance, before starting.
