ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract opportunity in Pendleton, South Carolina. This position offers the chance to work with middle and high school students in grades 6-12, providing individualized speech and language services that support communication, academic achievement, and overall student success. The ideal candidate is a fully licensed SLP who enjoys working with adolescents in a collaborative educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings for students in grades 6-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's communication needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a varied caseload of approximately 40-50 students.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and educational planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Monitor student progress and modify intervention strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Appropriate South Carolina school certification or eligibility required, if applicable.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible for this position.
- Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.
Experience:
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience working with middle and high school students is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IEP development, evaluations, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred.
